I cannot express how important it is to work out your legs for Tough Mudder. And there is also so many benefits of working out your legs. It has one of the largest muscle groups in your body and when you work them out it releases the most testosterone and growth hormones.
And plus you need your legs to do these things:

Strong legs = strong body!
So try this routine to build up your legs. Do 4 – 5 sets of it. If you are a Tough Mudder do 5 – 6! I linked all exercises to a video.
- Squats: Make sure you know the correct form. Do as much weight as you can while maintaining correct form. Shoot for 6-10 reps.
- Jumping Lunges: Use your body weight first until you can do 20 reps (rotating each lunge) then add weights!
- Jumping Calf Raises: Basically doing a jump squat without going down. Your just standing up right and using your calves to jump. Do about 10-14 reps.
- Planks (hold for 45-60 seconds)
Trust me when you get through this. Your legs will be burning BUT you’ll thank me later for it
