Paleo Super Bowl Recipes 2012

So Super Bowl 46 is coming up this weekend but there is a huge dilemma though!

You’ve been on the paleo diet and you know if you go watch the game at your friend’s Super Bowl party that you won’t be able to eat ANYTHING!

But don’t fret there are substitutes! So if you got time, throwing a party, or going to somebody else’s, you can prep these meals I looked up. I basically searched for alternatives of Super bowl foods on different paleo websites and I compiled a list and put the links below.

Paleo Survival Guide: Thanksgiving Dinner

Here is a survival guide for those of you who are eating a paleo diet and are trying to navigate how to eat “paleo” at Thanksgiving dinner.

Going back to the basics, eating paleo means you are allowed to eat meats, vegetables (no white potatoes), fruits, nuts, and healthy fats and oils. You are not allowed to eat grains (bread and rice), dairy, legumes (beans & peas), processed foods, processed oils (fried foods), alcohol, no added salt and sugar. If you are looking for a more detailed list go here.

Ninja Can Bake! Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies Version 2

Ninja Can Bake! Paleo Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies

You might think if you go Paleo, all you eat is meats, fruits, and vegetables and you aren’t able to eat any sweets.

WRONG!!!

You can eat some paleo friendly baked goods. Last time, I made paleo friendly chocolate chip cookies. This time, I made paleo double chocolate chunk cookies.

To make double chocolate chunk cookies, gather these items:


2 cups of almond butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
2 table spoons – 1/4 cup of a natural sweetener of choice (I used some honey and agave syrup)
Parchment paper

If you are trying to get ripped and in shape, then you should avoid alcohol at all costs. But if you have to, here is a more favorable option. This drink was created by Robb Wolf. He popularized the paleo diet, was a former biochemist, review editor of Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism, and a former California Power Lifting Champion (I think he knows what he is talking about). He used his biochemist background to formulate this drink.
