It’s Been A Year….of Paleo Diet

Hey guys,

It’s me Be Ninja! Sorry that I fell off the face of the planet. Lots of new things have been going on. I just wanted to write a post on my paleo diet. It was last year in August 2011 I started a paleo diet to get ripped for my “Project Ripped Ninja”. Doing  ”Ripped Ninja” was such a great learning experience. I learned how to lean up and get abs (abs are made in the kitchen!) and that nutrition is the key to better athletic performance, focus and energy, and better health. And I achieved that by eating a paleo diet. At the end of my “Ripped Ninja” project…I came into a crisis of thinking…”Do I stop doing the paleo diet?” “Do I eat paleo 5 days a week and let loose on the weekend?” But I liked the health and aesthetic benefits that I got out of it, so I decided from then on I was paleo for life and it has been a year later.

Paleo Diet Flowchart: Simple Way of Looking At Paleo

This is a pretty simple (and funny) way to look at the paleo diet. If you need any more details go here.

Nate Miyaki’s Nutritional Bombs

So Nate Miyaki did an interview with JasonFerruggia.com about nutrition and fitness. When Nate talks, you listen. He knows what he is talking about. Nate is a contributing writer to various online publications (LIVESTRONG, T-Nation, Bodybuilding.com, Musclemania.com), 2009 World Natural Bodybuilding Championship, and writer of the Samurai Diet. He has a lot of experience and wisdom to share. I love his Bruce Lee type approach to nutrition and fitness (“take what is useful and reject what is useless”).

How To Do the Paleo Diet Successfully

The paleo diet is probably one of the most restrictive diets out there. You are not allowed to eat complex carbs like bread, rice, anything with flour, no diary, and no beans. So when people try to do the paleo diet a lot of them fail at doing it because they haven’t given much thought to it and they don’t prepare for it. This is how you do it successfully.

Where You Can Go Wrong On The Paleo Diet For Weight Loss

BUT there are certain food groups within the paleo diet that you have to eat and hold back on some to get the results that you want. I personally know people who do the paleo diet who aren’t losing.  If you are looking to lose weight or lean out, this is what you should do:

Paleo Diet Success Stories

Meatizzy!!!

I love the paleo diet. I can eat stuff like this. It’s fried egg in coconut oil, uncured bacon, ground turkey with chopped onions. Eat fatty stuff that is actually good for you. Perform better in competitive events or in the weight room and look good!
